Question a little help...... please

needing a bit of help people..

trying to build a 1/24 scale model of my own car (nissan skyline GTS-T), managed to track down most of the things i need for this project except 2 things!
1st: where can i get my grubby mitts on an RB25DET engine? (does one come with the tamiya kit for the skyline GTS-T? or is it just some plastic excuse for the bottom end?)
2nd: wheels!!
done a fair bit of searching on the (limited) sites i know that sell aftermarket wheels, but i can't find the one's i'm after!

looking for these...

they are "Avalini" 18" 5 spokes

there are a few other wheel makers who make a very similar wheel, so basicaly any of them would do... failing that anything even close to them would do!

anyone know where i might be able to source a set of these?

cheers in advance
boab

These are pretty close. I ordered them from www.hlj.com. They are Volk Racing Challenge.

Yeah, no problem. It is the same wheel. I would think it's the closest you will find. What you should maybe do about the engine is go to "completed and in progress - street and show" and do a search for skylines or skyline engines or something and then when you find a post by someone that seems to know their stuff, send them a PM about it. Wadda ya think?

Re: a little help...... please

having done a fair bit of fruitless searching, i've decided to make this a "closed doors" model! i was planning on making it with bonnet, boot and doors open showing engine, interior and ice install in the boot, but now i've decided that may be a bit out of my depth!

i really want this model to look good, and the fact i've been out of the modelling game for a while, i'll take it easy!

as i'm getting both GTS and GTR models, i'll mod the GTR as i'm not too concerned how it turns out, but i want the GTS to look as good as the real thing

tikiman, thanks for the nudge in the right direction, i've found a set of those rims on ebay, and am waiting confirmation on shipping costs (hlj had them on back order)...

just got to sit back and wait for everything to arrive now... see you all in the "progress" thread when i get started
