blower not blowin/clicking noise from shaft

well 1st problem is my blower doesnt seem to work...just suddenly like 2 days ago i go to crank the heat and no air is blowing at all...its a 95 escort 1.9l manual.....im not sure wut happned i checked fuses and cant think of anything else to try..but one other thing i notices when i click the knob ver to higher setting the lights blink in the background lettering.........

2nd problem being this also jst suddenly happend......when i get to about 2nd gear and let go of the gas there is a loud cliucking noiuse seeming to come up from the shaft...not really sure wut it could be but just happned....it doesnt seem to shake the shifter much but when not givin gas it rattles or morelike a clicking noise.....please help...thanx alot

I would hot wire the blower motor from your battery and see if it turns on. If not, you know that the blower motor is shorted out. If it does work, you'll know that the problem could be in a control switch or wiring. Sometimes it's easier to double check your fuse panels, too. I've overlooked popped fuses before and wasted a whole bunch of time looking for nothing. If a fuse is burned out, sometimes there's still a reason why it burned out. I'm not sure on the clunking noise in the gearshift. It sounds as if it is definately an internal problem. (gear selector yoke wearing out?) You could check the fluid level in case it needs some fluid cushion. Mine are all automatics. I personally prefer sticks, some women can't seem to handle them.

well thanx....but guess what~!? just last night i was just cruising around and bammm.....all of a sudden the blower just started workin..soo for now that problems fixed but yea that clicking noise still "clicks" ..so ahhh yea ill try some things out..but ya thanx

Take a look at your wire harnas near the blower motor I had the same problem and all I had to do was work the harnas back on the mount
