Where is ecu or computer located 99 Intrigue

Where is the ecu or computer located in a 99 Intrigue I looke in the engine compartment and I could not find the sucker.

I think they are all (every year) located underneath the air filter box.....I know for sure that's where they are on a '98 3.8.

Thanks I will take a look there. I just hope it's not a bare to remove the airbox. I found replacing the spark plugs a bear especialy when I had to run out and buy an oxgen socket I had to remove the oxgen sensor to remove one of the plugs.

I did find the ECU hats off to GM they did use their heads on the location. Next question I did install the new/old ecu I picked-up from the bone yard, It did not work It did come out of a 99 intrigue but the engine was pulled out of the car I assumed that all 99's came with 3.8 engines Yes/No ( I was going to keep it as a spare I figure for the cost of $30 why not.

No, not all 99's came with 3.8 engines, some came with a 24-valve 3.5L.

Check the 8th letter of the VIN. A 3.5L "shortstar" will be an "H" motor.

I took the unit back for a credit. I just thought I would keep it as a spare. It must of come out of a 3.5L
