Aftermarket Headlight Quality

I just bought a 97 EX last night and i'm very pleased with the condition except for the headlights which are both fogged. I was interested in doing a few things to the car anyway and I thought I'd start with the headlights so I looked up some prices on ebay and found these two: 1 2

Both look like they could be nice but I'm concerned about the quality. They're very cheap and I don't want to spend over a hundred to have my headlights fog up a week later. Has anyone bought these or similar to these and could tell me how good they are? If they aren't can you reccommend a good quality brand?

Sorry if this question has been answered already, I looked it up but didn't see anything. Thanks

Number 2 isn't projector lights like he claims, either that or the pic is wrong. The picture shows headlights with only 1 light per housing, housings that arn't projectors.

Many aftermarket headlights tend to leak. You need to seal them up. Once the inside is clear and clean and not fogged up, get some good RVT silicon and seal the headlights up, going around the housing where it comes toghter. You should do this on any aftermarket headlights, where they be the ones you have or a new pair.

TYC claims to "gaurentee" that their lighting products are "leak proof" (meaning no water and fogging), so check that out. If you are weary, if can't hurt to seal them up as well.

check this site out if you are looking into new lights, they have a good selection of headlight and tailight products. Remember, it's a good idea to seal up any aftermarket lights you buy.

In addition... to seal it, you dont need to take it apart and redo it, or anything like that. All you do is fill the little crack between the lens and the housing with silicone and wipe the extra off so its nice and clean. Its no big deal... probably a half hour project including installation.

Also, out of those two lights, I'd go with the JDM style one. The other one looks like a USDM style with a clear side reflector. The JDM one has no reflector so its alot cleaner, imo
