throttle heater bypass

Im sure some of you have done this "free" mod to your cars and I just recently did it to mine so i figured is pass the word. Basically the idea behind this is lowering the intake temps as they flow through the throttle body. Your throttle body has 2 tubes one into the throttle body and one exiting and hot radiator fluid is being run through this which is heating up the air etc. The reason cars come from the factory with this is because they dont want the throttle to stick on you, however most of us never see weather cold enough to actually freeze anything up in there.

So basically look at your throttle body find the tube that runs to it and the one that runs away from it and connect the two(after doing so you might want to zip tie it out of the way). I connected mine by using a 3/4" piece of copper tubing about 2 inches long. You will probably see a good bit of radiator fluid coming out but dont panic just hold them so it doesnt spill everywhere.

This mod wont make any real noticable power but i have noticed a difference in throttle response. This is also great for track days when your car is running hot for a long time. Hope this helps someone have a little more fun.
