Anyone got HIDs?

Anyone running HIDs on their 2g? I would like to know if there are retrofit kits out there avaliable for the eclipse. It seems that ebay have HIDs for every car except the eclipse. I would like to do it to my car, I actually need the light output. Thanks.

Philips makes a kit, thats what I have (not installed yet). Just run a search on google or somthing. Had them in my last car, best investment ever. They work even better with projectors

Well... the fake xenon/rice bulbs try to make it look like real HIDs, but they are not. They actually produce less light than regular halogens because the film that is over the bulb filter the light out to make it look more blue. I want the actual light output, and not just the look.
Why are escalade legal and the stuff on the websites not? Because the HIDs on a escalade are from the facotry and not aftermarket. In 2003, the US started to regulate aftermakrket HID kits, they are requiring the manufactures of aftermarket HID kit to send them in for testing, so if the manufactures do not send them in, then the kit is not DOT approved, so it would be illegal to use on road. Thats why the aftermarket kits have the disclamer of only for offroad or show use only.
Now, we all know that usually doesn't stop people from using it, thats why I'm asking if people on the forum have used them and what they think of them. I would like to know your opinion on the light output, and whether you installed the kit in regular 2g headlight housing or in aftermarket projector lights. If anyone have pictures of their light output and stuff, I would love to see it.
