Brakes

I Have A 2001 Gmc Sierra That When I Push The Brakes Down To Come To Stop It Sometimes Feels Like The Brake Slips And Goes To The Floor Grabbing At The Front Rotor Then I Release It And Hit It Again And It Stops Fine. It Only Happens Once In A While And Usually When I Am Riding The Brake Down A Hill Coming To A Stop.

brakes

sounds like low speed ABS actvation, if its happening under 10 mph. GM has a service bulletin on it, but I would not pay to fix it since this could turn into a big safety recall. It happened to me and I hit the guy in front of me at a coffe shop. I'm trying to get GM to fix it for free.

read the posts on "anti-lock brakes too sensitive" on page 7. This sounds like it could be your problem.
