Re: 95 blazer front end

Yes, I have a suggestion.
Take a look at your Idler arm. I would bet you a dollar that it has a straight zerk fitting, and therefore no one has ever greased it, or even bothered to tell you that your Idler arm has been completly dry for years.

Seriously though, take the plastic splash pan off and take a look at the Idler arm, its on the right side of the vehicle (always from the driver seat). If you can, have someone turn the wheel while you watch and listen. You will most likely find what I described.

Re: 95 blazer front end

I can't tell you how many idler's I've replaced on blazers, jimmy's bravada's, etc. Nobody lubes them and they become toast fast. Whoever replaced everything else should have caught that though

Re: 95 blazer front end

This has got to be the front sway bar bushings and end links. It happens when it drops one side when not turning so that takes the idler arm out of the equation.

Dry sway bar bushings can cause the squeak.

But for the hell of it, I would lube all 11 grease fitting on your front end to maintain it properly.

Re: 95 blazer front end

Ask and you shall recieve:

Left upper ball joint
Left lower ball joint
Inner tie rod end
Outer tie rod end
Right upper ball joint
Right lower ball joint
Inner tie rod end
Outer tie rod end
Idler arm (2)
Pittman

This is on my '93, yours shouldn't be much different. However, I have found on a '95 upon replacing ball joints, that GM didn't have zerks in the ball joints but by now, I'm sure someone has installed them at some point.

Re: 95 blazer front end

don't force too much grease in there, just maybe a pump will do it.

I have a 1995 and have all 11 and they are factory with the zerks.

Too many people are not EVER lubing their front ends on these blazers.

If they took the hour to do them all, the components will last 5 years longer.

Most of the failures are from lack of proper greasing and maintanence.
