Wheels and suspension advice

Im in the process of ditching the stock 15' pizza cutter wheels on my 95 MR2 Turbo and droping in a set of 18's to suit, i have my eye on ray's CE28N's Im not sure on what sort of tyre widths for front and rears, i wouldnt mind running what ever widest possible in the rear.

Im also in the market for shocks to suit,im building this as a street car so it will never be taken to the track, im considering Tein adjustables, im open to suggestions, in a nut shell i want something thats road friendly and would be able to tackle the twisty back mountain roads on a sunday afternoon, any advice on bushes or swaybars?, any input would be appreciated.

Re: Wheels and suspension advice

I wouldn't recommend 18s on an MR2 if you are looking for performance and/or comfort. If you want a bigger rims and still retain some comfort and performance, I would suggest 17s in the rear and 16s in the front.

Tire size I would go with 215 in the front and 235 or 245 in the back.

For suspension we do not have shocks, we have struts. If you are worried about it being too stiff, I would get the Tokiko Illumina struts. If you want to save some money and can handle a stiffer ride, go for the KYB 4-way adjustables.

Sway bars ... again it depends on how stiff you want to be. I have the ST Sways and I am quite pleased, but I will pick up a wheel off the ground when I am going down a curb ramp. It is very stiff. You want to check out the TRD Sways if you want something stiff, but that stiff. They are also lighter.

I've Got 16's And Might Go Up When I Do A Wide Bodykit But The 16's Are Fine. Mines Also Lowered About 2" And The Roads Here Are Crap... Wouldn't Want Bigger If You Have Bumpy Roads.
