Question 88 turbo coupe questions

Was looking for a project car and an 88 thunderbird was my first car so I decided to try and fix up an old clunker. Body and interior are in good shape but the engine is toast. Its a five speed also. Now its time for me to start my magic. Im just wonder if anybody has any suggestions for performance mods on the car. Ill get the basics like exhaust and rebuild the motor have the head work done and get a cam grind done. Looking for aftermarket parts supplers if anybody knows where I might be able to score a decent header so I dont have to make my own and also some forged pistons would be good. Also any suggestions on chips for the year and model? Then just any suggestions in general are helpful.
