89 Ranger starts... then it wont re-start

hey guys i have an 89 ranger. it starts just fine in the AM.. but after it runs for a while and i shut it off ( it dont shut off by itself) and then need to re-start it wont.. till i wait bout20 - 30mins... then it starts... did engine code thing and i got 51 and 34 not sure if that is what would be causing the issue....can anyone help ...
