Question 97 radiator

i have a 1997 jeep wrangler 4 cyl. I drove it yersterday and parked it in the srteet. Overnight it got rather cold mid 20's. Today i went out to the jeep and there was a 8 inch diameter spot on the ground. The top of the radaitor has little pronges that clamp down the top of the radaitor and these have antfreeze all around them. Does any one have any suggestions............ This jeep is nickel and diming us!

Thanks Derek

Had the same issue with my 2000. The new Jeeps have a two piece plastic base, alumium cap, with a gasket in between type of radiator, and the temperature change could cause it to leak. Mine was sweating antifreeze over the winter, but that was basically it. It never really left me stranded, just leaked some fluid every once in a while. I did bang the tabs down with a wood block and a hammer, but by that time it was spring, and the leak stopped. I would just monitor it, and keep the money in your pocket for now.

Re: 97 radiator

I'd also make sure that you've got the proper mix of antifreeze in there....
