98 Aurora Buring Oil?

I have a 98 Aurora with 70k miles. For past couple thousand miles I noticed, once and while there will be smoke comming from the exhaust (burning oil?) Also I have to put a quart of oil in about every month or so. Anyone know whats going on. Thnx.

Maybe bad rings or valve seals would be my guess. How hard do you run it?

The Aurora Northstar piston rings can carbon up under certain non- agressive driving conditions (short trips - stop & go). You might be able to improve it to normal again with Seafoam and some long highway driving.
