Exclamation car making the blinker sound when the blinker is not on!

Hello! I have a Chevy Blazer, 98' that I took in to the shop for its inspection a few days ago...after taking my car home I noticed that my car will randomly (in park, drive and reverse) make the clicking sound that your blinker would make if it was on (but the blinker is not on) i just hear the noise. It is beyond annoying and frusterating since there was nothing wrong with it before I took it in. My blinkers do work when I turn them on and make the noise...but as I am either in park or drive the sound of my blinker will go off...and it basically goes on and off, it can stay on for about 40 seconds then stop and maybe start up again. I do not know what is going on. I have called the auto shop I went to and told them the situation, they said they'll look at it but I'm afraid they just charge me for something. It's really a drag. If anyone knows what the problem might be or any advice please let me know. I am not a car expert in any sense of the word and comments would be greatly appreciated. =)
have a great day!
Jessica

It sounds like it might be a relay. Try to listen and find out where the noise is coming from and change that relay.

What area of the car is the sound coming from?? IN the dash , under the dash, to the left or right we need a little more info.
I am pretty sure your new problem had nothing to do with the inspection. These things just happen

I'm not too familiar with Blazers but I think the main CPU is either behind the glove box or the radio/heater control area. Take out the glove box and then start and/or drive the car and have someone find out which relay is the noisey one and replace it.
