sun roof noise

98 camry
when i have my sun roof open i here a noise almost like something hitting in the glass. does anyone know what this might be or how to fix this? thanx

Hmm... I was getting this too while on the highway with the sunroof open. For me, it seemed to sound like it was coming from the rear interior of the car, and the interval was several seconds between each "noise". Sounded alot like a small pebble hitting the winshield while on the highway. I have no idea what it was, but didn't really care too much since it wasn't really annoying.

i found out it was the head liner near the back window was loose. put the clips back in and noise is gone ......thanx
