Ok so if my motors blown....hows this?

ok so the 4g63 would cost way to much, and be beyond me, i was thinking....i can proably get a cheap neon block my head and whatnot is still probly fine, so i was thinking get the neon block and maybe buy some new rods, pistons and rings, and new gaskets everywhere ,then id just putmy HEAD and other items on it and drop it in...if i had any money left i know a guy in town who ports and polishes which i was thinking of too...plus maybe a new radiator and whatnot. whats everyone think? ive got about a grand right now.

P.S. Yes i work REALLY close, and it gets me there fine everyday so its not DEAD yet ill have more money i am still working lol

just get a 420a and get new rods and everything, because the neon blocks i think are the same and are no better. My friend put a 14b on a 95 neon and was blowning his motor left and right. Why would you want to go up to some one and say yea i got a neon block in my eclipse ,the only neon block that would be worth the time is the new srt4 motor, wich i think is set up just like the 2.4 in the eclipse so you will have to do alot of work to get it in your engine bay.

and this is just my , but stop making a new thread every time you think of a new engine to put in your car, just add on to the other 2 or 3 thread you already made.

Re: Ok so if my motors blown....hows this?

because the neon motor is the same as the eclipse, the only diffrence is its head is a
SOHC, and the exhaust comes out the other side, but by using my head that already working and finding the motor cheap.

Re: Ok so if my motors blown....hows this?

ok and so heres 2 more questions most like jake will have to answer these, 1. will pistons for the 4g63 fit in the 420a? cause i dont see many anywhere(any) but tons of 4g63's, 2. Is the crank going to be strong enough if i put new rods and ppistons and gaskets and someday run boost, or should i think about replacing it too,

They will not fit. Check E-bay for pistons and rods. They ususaly have some good deals their.
