86 dodge lancer, won't start

hey ppl i have a 1986 dodge lancer that won't start due to no spark i changed everything but the comp. any idea's. Also does the 86 lancer have a comp on the inner kick panel passengers side, and could that be at fault. i would appreciate any help thanx

get a book for computer location, which motor? you replaced the dist? the coil? is the dist turning? ie have you checked the timing belt (assume it is a 2.2/2.5)

yes . it's a 2.5 ltr, timing belt is good dist is turning. the manual says the comp is behind the pass kick panel and the spark control comp is at the front left corner by the battery, i was wondering which one i should check first

the computer in question would be behind the batt, have you replaced the dist? on my 89 Spirit 2.5, under the optical plate in the dist there is a steel "finger" wheel that makes and breaks the opticals to let the computer know the engine is turning, that wheel is held to the dist shaft by plastic, they have been known to break loose
