Angry 89 voyager starting prob

I will try to be specific. We have a 89 voyager turbo and it won't start. We just replaced the fuel pump 3 weeks ago and had no real probs til a few days ago. Although I did have to try to start it twice before it would start this was before we had the prob with no start. My husband replaced the ignition coil because there was no spark and the fuel pump does not come on. He has also replace the fuel regulator ?(black box on driver firewall closest to the cab) When he did this it did start but stalled immediatly, it did start again but stalled again and now won't start again and the fuel pump is not coming on? He also replaced the rotor and still nothing he says the plugs and wires are fine.. We have one of those electric start things that is also not working right (never has since we bought this vehicle 1 1//2 yrs ago) would this cause our problems or is there a short somewhere? Any advice would be surely appreciated!!

Thanks in advance, Vikki

Just a question about your car. What kind of mileage do you get with the turbo? Is it a standard or automatic?

Sounds like you have a bad ASD (Automatic ShutDown) relay. When those go bad, they cut off power to the fuel pump and ignition coil.

I had this problem with my caravan(Samething as Voyager) On the side wall of your van there are various relays. One of them is ASD. Sometimes the contacts are worn to apoint they do not transmit power.Turn your ignition on and remove the plug on all of them and one of them should click that could be th ASD.I removed mine and using tiny screwdriver pried the thing out and usig my ohm meter checked coutinuity esp at the points.Clean the points using sandpaper. If there is continuity then you have checked one more thing. If there is no contunity that could be your problem. Replacing would be a good idea.
