Wink Ok -now prare yourselves...

Ok -now prare yourselves for worlds MOST STUPID question.

What is the cheapest easiest subaru I can find between 1985 and 1994, and will it take the sti Motor and tranny? Oh need it to be 4WD or AWD.

Thanks subaru guys for the quick help. Oh and PLEASE don't ask why...its a suprise to all you af guys once I am done wth all my cars.

I'd say that for it to be able to take an STi engine/tranny, look for a '90-94 Legacy AWD. In my eyes, the old '85-89 GL's and Loyales in the early '90s aren't that good a platform to swap something that new into. The Legacy started the EJ engines, so I'd venture to guess that it'd be easier to perform the swap.
