No no no...Metro is actually in Maryland. It also goes by the name 50. It's exit 19a(I believe?) in MD off I95. The name metro is b/c it is near the Orange Line New Carrolton station. It's not at the station, just near it, on some long straight strip. It's ok, but not really racing. More like a late-night car show, b/c it's way to cop infested for there to be any real racing. Maybe like 1 - 5 runs a night, but that's it. A lot of nice cars up there though.

A lot of racing in Harrisonburg? I got to JMU in Harrisonburg - its true, there's a lot of cars rollin around here, but to be perfectly honest, there's not much racing. Most of the 'racing' is done by high school kids around here who basically just cruise the streets from Sheetz to McDonalds, and back to Sheetz again. Usually 2 or 3 of 'em. At McDonalds, every now and then one will go around the block as fast as he can, but apart from that, it's nothing special. Every now and then though you'll get word up here that some of these guys go out into the back roads to race. But it's nothing like F&F. Sorry to dissapoint you.

Naturally, I'm not the be all and end all of the street racing scene in the 'burg, but I have been here for 5 years, and drive a LOT. So I think i'd know.

JMU, however, DOES have the Madison Motorsports club , and every now and the JMU actually allows them to autoX in on of the big parking lots here. So that's pretty tight.

If anyone wants to correct me on the scene around here, please feel free - i'd love to find where you guys go around here.

Talk to you later

they actually go outside of harrisonburg to raliegh springs near the national forest to race. its on a 2 lane rode thats like 55 mph. kinda dumb. a shitload of ppl went up there this past weekend. i know there was a eclipse up there that looked like the 1 in the F&F but this 1 was red and white

I think i know that eclipse - or maybe it's a similar one but not the same. The one I'm thinking of actually i think is some weird colors but not red. Anyway its got the F&F pointing fingers decals on it, and a lot of Mitsubishi stickers on it, but on closer inspection, one might notice that, in fact, it's an eagle talon. And all the decals are starting to peel off.

Anyway, is this place you're talking about out 33W from H'burg towards WV? Interesting...

I live around that area too, and work in Harrisonburg. There isnt much racing in that area just on occasion a few cars might run on the outskirts of town. Theres a few around the area just east of H-burg.. Where a few racers run every once in a while. Check out Staunton one time they have some souped up cars up around that area on the strip. Might get lucky and find a few racers there.
