Exclamation Temp Gauge

Hey any body out there have a 3.1L "M" with a temp gauge the fluctuates alot? Mine goes up a few to 210 when your stoped or coasting to a stop and as soon as you step on the gas drops to 195/200 it seens to be worse if dont have the engine fan going (defrost, A/C on). Oh if you going down the Interstate it runs at 200 start working it if creaps up to 205/212 let off or get to the top of the hill it drops back to 200. I have checked for air in the system if there is some i cant get it out (any ideas) The car does not seem to use any antifreeze either.

Re: Temp Gauge

OK, I don't have a 3.1. But My GTX will does the same. Put a 180 stat in it. Troubles will go away. Should ask, do you live up north? If so leave old stat in till spring. Or you will get cold this winter. I live in Florida. Run 180 all year long.
Good luck

Re: Temp Gauge

If you can catch Cass or Big-L out here, they know more about the 3.1 then I do. Keep it on the road.
