97 SE check engine light

When I took it in to get the check engine light code checked, it came up as P1870, 4x4 switch. I have a feeling that since my car isnt 4wd, its wrong. The ABS, Traction, and Traction off lights are always coming on and off. What can I do about it?

Also, the doors automatically lock everytime I put the car into gear. Is there anyway I can disable that without disabling the auto door locks?

Codes usually aren't wrong...where did you get it checked...autozone? because they do it for free...if you went somewhere else, I'd have them take a whirl at it and see if they come up with something else.

Get in drivers seat and close all the doors. I'm not sure if this has to be done with ignition "on" or "off" (I think "on"). Then hold the "lock" button down on the door for 10sec (it's a long 10sec). You should then hear a chime, after the chime release the button. From here you have 4 options, every press of the lock button brings you to the next option. You'll have to figure out which option is the one you need. There's "no lock/unlock when switching gears", "L/U only with ignition" and a couple others. Good luck!

I went to autozone. They are the ones that told me that it was my 4x4 switch. I dont think it would be any different if I went to GM, except that it would cost me $$.
