Angry 95 Camero Over Heating

I have a 95 Camero I bought used. I is constanly blowing the upper radiator hose off and overeheating. The radiator has been replaced, did not solve problem. It was diagnosed with a blown head gasket suposably charging up the system. I replaced the engine with a long block new thermostant and water pump. I drive it for a weak it blows the upper hose and over heats again. I over ride the fan motor to blow constsnt it still heats up. I changed the temperture sensor, drove it for a weak, and it blew the upper hose and over heated again. I am ready to drive this thing over a cliff any ideas on what could be going on?

well first off you really shouldnt be riding around with a blown head gasket. second, you really shouldnt be driving around with a blown head gasket. sounds like a pressure problem to me, maybe have a clogged water passage in the block.

Re: 95 Camero Over Heating

changed your rad cap lately? the pressure should be relieved via the rad cap, before it blows the hoses off? and usually all your coolant will pour out the overflow

You'l probably have to take it in to have a leak down test done.. You could have a cracked head, another blown HG..

Re: 95 Camero Over Heating

im a little out of it right now, but did someone put the wrong water pump on it??? im not even sure if thats possible, but the fourth gen camaros have reverse flow cooling, so if a standard waterpump will bolt up, and push the coolant the wrong way, wouldnt that blow the hose off, im just pulling this out of my ass, cuz im in the middle of homework, but its an angle.

Well I figured it out. It turns out the fan motor was not kicking in until the engine over heated. Everytime in the past when I checked the fan would be blowing while it was over heating, so it seemed the fan was working. I made sure the cooling system was topped off the engine was cooled down and I cranked it up and watched. sure enough it heated up and the fan never kicked in. I then ran a hot wire straight to the fan so it ran constantly and cranked the engine. Guese what it ran cool. Problem diagnosed faulty temp sensor.
