I started my car up fine this morning and drove to work...Went to go to lunch nothing...dead. My car did not even crank. I know it is not the battery because my interior lite worked and my car dinged when the keys were in the ignition and the door was open. Could this be the starter or ignition switch.. Can anyone help..

Re: 1996 sebring jxi will not start
A car ding and interior light takes far less current then cranking an engine. Try boosting the battery. If that works then it's either the battery or alternator. If a boost won't do it then it's probably a loose connection or starter issue.
