How not to drive a RSX

This may be old to some of you, but I thought it was intesting so:

Must of been a rough day. Takes him something like 9 seconds to get to 60 then... well, watch and see.

And after that he'll see if they can quantum tunnel though the pistons.

BTW, the guy that sent me this video works in the service at an Acura dealership. He said that there have actually been quite a few cars that have come rolling (behind a toe truck) in where the driver apparently had similiar driving "skillz".

A guess that 6-speed is little tricky eh?

I heard that this was a very common happening in hondas and acuras, and that they were covered under warenty but now that the RSX is out its happining alot more and thus they changed the warenty and are now not cover such a thing. Sux for them....

man if i blew my engine every time i missed a shift or hit the wrong gear in the heat of a race id have spent quite a bit of money on rebuilds by now. its an honest mistake, not necessarily bad driving (although he looked like he was redlining the piss out of it even before he missed the shift)

see thats why they invented this thing called a rev limiter. my car has one, and i like it! with all their technological marvels in the new k-series motors honda couldnt put in a damn rev limiter?

Rev limiter is not going to prevent that from happening smart guy. When you downshift, the wheels spin the transmission. So you shift into 2nd, at 90 MPH, the transmission is spinning at that speed. When you release the clutch pedal, the engine then tries to spin up to that speed. Thats when you go to 11K RPM and fuck things up.

why then if i miss a shift and hit a lower gear than i should will i bounce off the rev limiter??? why then dont a lot of hondas and other cars for that matter have engine blowing problems anywhere close to as common as the rsx??? is it a coincidence the rsx is the one without a rev limiter??? i think not...
