1990 eclipse rough idle and blowing black smoke

anyone can help me about my 1990 eclipse 1.8 engine that's idle rough and black some coming out from the muffler.

sounds like you are running too rich, get a $25 o2 sensor from www.o2sensorsonline.com and AFTER you replace o2 sensor, change your spark plugs, just go to advanced and get the regular NGK plugs. If that doesnt do it, it might be your computer, i had a ECU go bad on me and it would run rich one minute and lean the next, basically ran like crap. If you have to get a new ECU, search ebay for a used one, new its like $290, you can pick them up used for like $20-50.
