350 swap?
Does anybody know if a 350 would fit and work on a mighty max?

I remember reading somewhere awhile back of someone swapping over a 327 or 350 can't quit remember. When I say it was awhile back I'm thinking something like in the early 90's. I want to say I remember reading something about it in Truckin or Mini Truckin.

Ok...i am not sure how old this thread is and if you are still reading it lol, but yes this is possible. My 89 D50 is done, well almost done, but i bought it with most of the work done already. I know you have to change motor mounts, make the tunnel bigger for the tranny, make a new tranny crossmember, get a short water pump if the engine doesnt already have 1, then all the little things that you dont think too much about like wiring, fuel lines, driveshaft, rad, etc....

i don't know if you already have a 350. but a ford 302 is an easier swap.plus the distributer is on the front of the eng. so you can set the motor further back in the frame for better weight transfer.
