Re: RHD Registration

Not if you plan on keeping it RHD. In fact, it won't even pass customs until you have a registered importer change it all over for you (bumpers, headlights, brakelights, glass, LHD conversion, airbags, emissions systems, etc.). Good luck with that, it'll probably cost about $10-15,000 at the least.

Re: RHD Registration

I don't understand why RHD wouldn't be legal? Their's a woman here with a RHD Subaru Outback.

Re: RHD Registration

It isn't. Trust me, I've researched this many times.... even if he didn't have to have a LHD drive conversion done it would still cost at least several thousand dollars and >month to get it through customs.

Well I don't know how this woman can have a RHD car. She is a mail deliverer, maybe they're allowed.

RHD IS legal!! The issue ISN'T RHD vs LHD. That is not the problem. If you want a RHD Integra....you MAY have to convert a USDM Integra THAT is legal. The JDM Integra is different than the USDM one in ways OTHER than RHD.
ie
bumpers
side impact
wind screen
seatbelts
headlights
emissions
etc (I think you get the idea)

Re: RHD Registration

LHD car's are Illegal in Australia, EXCEPT if they were built BEFORE 1968. I've seen a LHD car on our roads, it was fucking weird!

...but aren't you glad RHD is legal there? If they were both illegal, you'd be up a shit creek without a paddle.
