3.4l sputters n stutters...while accelerating

i have a 3.4L 96 cutlass supreme.....when accelerating while at any speed the engine sputters and lacks power and continues to sputter occasionally at the higher speed.

any suggestions...mechanic says all sensors are fine...but may be computer or coil pack?

sounds like a bad injector to me. Is your check engine light on?

check engine light comes on and off

bring it somewhere like autozone where they will pull codes for free. That should tell you what the problem is. Let us know.

If your vehicle has MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor on the intake hose, clean it good and test the vehicle.

or more of the coil packs. The symptoms sound similar to the problems I was having and it turned out to be the coil packs (had two go out about a month apart). My vehicle had approx. 120K miles.
