Blow Off Dilema

I still cant decide between the GReddy types or the apexi. What one sounds the best? Which ones the loudest and has the best whistle?

Re: Blow Off Dilema

Loudest would probably be the TurboXS RFL. I have no idea what the greddy and the apexi sound like

Re: Blow Off Dilema

Check out www.3sxperformance.com it has sound bytes of alot of the BOVs...then check teh faq for the BOV comparison...as some are better than others for our cars.
Personally I recommend the DSM 1st gen BOV for performance and price.

the funny thing is, lots of 1st gen dsm owners take our stock bov and use it for there cars.

i personally think greddy is a better brand then apexi (personall opinion) and i have heard lots of bov's and honestly the one i have at full throttle is the loudest.

as far as what sounds the coolest, thats totally opinionated

So you like your apexi. How does it sound when u release the throttle. is it super loud. I am still trying to figure out wich one to get because i wanna run all apex but i dunno if i should go with greddy for this. Im choosing between the two and i still cant decide. If i had some sound clips it would be better.

Re: Blow Off Dilema

My RFL gets crazy attention, and scaring people with it is hilarious. I had a guy roll down his windows and tell me he thought his car was going to blow up, then he realized that it was my car making the noise every time I shifted.

Re: Blow Off Dilema

The loudest bov that i heard was from a mr2. Shit scared the crap out of me. He must been pushing alot or he just had bov that was intentionally was to be really loud. Dont see much vr4's over here so i never heard one off of a vr4. The ones i do see are completely stock.
