And yet another possibility...

Well guys, that '94 Twin Turbo I was looking at sold Friday while I was at school... But o well, on to better things.

1991 300ZedX 2+2... Full Wings West body kit, Wings West wing, 'Lambo' conversion taillights, and a damn loud straight-back exhaust.

Also has a Sony deck (the kind that appears like nothings there, then when the car turns on, it flips out) hook ups for subs (they were taken out before the car was made for sale I guess) and comes with a nice set of 19" rims (not on the car)

All for $4,900... Only thing that concerns me is some valve clapping in the heads... So I think Im only going to offer $3,900 (they'll probably knock off the rims then) just so I can have some extra money if anything goes wrong in the old VG.

I'll try and get some pics up on here.

Anyways, took her for a test drive... Wow, that was fun

Im not used to people doing double takes, and tripping themselves trying too get a better view of the car Im driving... Haha, it was something I havent experience since my second Zed.

Exhaust on the thing is loud as hell too, not raspy, but it sounds more of less like a Ferrari... Damn nice.

Anyways, I'll get some pics, and maybe... Just maybe, I might have another Zed.

Pray for me

-Wes

Re: And yet another possibility...

the only thing that doesn't sound good besides the valves is the taillights, i don't like it when people change the look of the tails unless it is jdm. if i was you, i would keep on looking until you find one that is in mechanically good condition. but that is just me.

Well for the three hundred you can find a set of good used heads or hell, a set of rebuilt heads. If you can do the work yourself then you are good to go. Probably find out if there is any other problems as well.

Anyway, I would suggest paying the $4200 or whatever you can talk them down to, and getting the rims. You can probably get alot more if you sold them then what you would save haggling over the car.

Re: And yet another possibility...

The taillights are just the 'Carbon Fiber' looking decal that lays over the existing tails... And he has Fairlady look-alike taillights under them, so I'll just peel that shit off.

Im taking the car to a local performance shop to get the heads reconditioned to make sure nothing is up, and a racing timing belt put on... Other than that it should be a tight car. Hope it works out, because thats a damn lot of money.

Re: And yet another possibility...

Wes, you keep on speaking of these racing timing belts. Whats the difference between them and stock?
What price is one going to set me back? I have to upgrade my timing belt pretty soon so I might as well get somthing thats going to handle all my power later on.

Re: And yet another possibility...

the "racing" timing belts have kevlar in them so they last a whole lot longer and are a lot strong than the stock belts. here is a link to them, go to www.splparts.com, click on z32, click on Tomei Engine parts, and it is the second item from the bottom.

Re: And yet another possibility...

Thanks Jared, I was trying to remember the site I got it off of... And what do you know, he beat me to it

So tommarows the day... Going down to decide.

I've got an appointment with the local performance shop (only place in town that will touch Zed32s) so they can run it over, and give me an estimate on timing belt change.

So we'll see...
