Post My 2000 s-10 blazer wont start sometimes

Im having problems with my 2000 chevy s-10 blazer. Sometimes when I get in to start it. My security light comes on and starts flashing and then when I to turn it over it acts like it wants to start but it cant. It almost seems like its not getting any gas to the engine. But then when you wait about 10 to 15 min. it starts right up. Please email me if you can help. Thanks

security system has been tampered with. I got the same problem once when my cavalier wouldn't start because of the ignition lock and tumbler had broken, so I tried starting it with a screwdriver straight to the starter. It set off the security system, and it won't allow the car to start anymore because it shuts off the fuel pump. I had called dealers around the world, trying to see how I could fix it without having to take it in to reset.

A good mechanic friend gave me a simple and effective trick.

1. Put the key in the ignition, and turn it to the ON position. (DON'T TURN THE ACTUAL VEHICLE ON, JUST SWITCH IT ON!!)

2. exit the vehicle, and leave the car parked with the key on for an hour.

3. get back in, switch it off, and then try starting it. It should work!!

GOOD LUCK!
