AE86 Vs Supra
Which car would be a better drifter? A AE86 or a '86 Supra. They both have ups and downs and I plan to get one of thoes cars, or a '86 corolla. And does anyone know where I could get a AE86 or performance parts for the Corolla or the Supra?

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
stick with the corolla if you can get your hands on one. Toysport, techno toy tuning, TRD are good places for parts

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
Umm... the supra is a lot heavier and doesnt have good weight distribution, which can totally ruin the car during drifting. (lose control, spin out, flip, crash into a wall, get the picture?)
The 93 and under supras are not that popular for performance. Because the Initial D/ AE86 Trueno craze, the Trueno has tons of mods out there. So just stick with the 86. |

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
just so you know, the FD is very expensive to mod pretty much in any way.

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
Well, actually, if you're looking at all the JDM or good quality aftermarket parts, both the FD and S13 are pretty expensive to mod.

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
There's a 94 FD for 12k around here, that's the cheapest I've seen it. I saw a 92 240 for 2K. Both were stick, the FD has 80 thousand miles, the 240 had 128 thousand. Have you tried auto trader?

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
It's easier to find those cars on the west coast.

Yeah, my uncle lives there so my dad was saying that it would be a good idea if we bought one over there because it would be cheaper, and that there shouldn't be any rust on the car because they don't use salt over there since they have no snow and stuff.

Re: AE86 Vs Supra
most of them have some rust on them because of their age and I'm guessing mother nature isn't very forgiving. Unless they've been restored but you should find one in decent condition for a pretty good price if you really want one.
