Re: How to replace Heater core!!!!

You will need to get to the heater core by removing the lower part of the dash. There are usually several bolts and clips you will need to remove to get the duct work to come apart. The heater core should be easy to reach once you get the bottom of the duct off. Remove the hoses after draining the system. Unbolt the heater core, replace it with a new one and replace everything you took off. Connect the hoses and refill the system. It is a good idea to run the car until it gets hot with the radiator cap off so you can get all the air out of the system. One suggestion, purchase a repair manual to show you exactly how to get to the heater core. It will make everything easier.

One suggestion is to disconnect the battery just incase you have any loose wires. I just changed mine over the weekend and it is time consuming. The book the manuel that I bought was pretty general. Skim through the book before you buy it.
