Impala Interior lights won't go off
My 2001 Impala's interior lights won't go off after the car is started. They continue to stay on for about 15 minutes after I turn off the engine. It makes night driving terrible and right now I have duct tape over the lights. I have an appointment to have it fixed but thought one of you folks might give me a hint. Thanks

Re: Impala Interior lights won't go off
Probably something with one of the door switches, does it say door ajar in the message center on the console. Is the headlight thing twisted to the on position for the interior lights. The reason it shuts off after 15 minutes is because the car did that so it won't drain your battery.

Re: Re: Impala Interior lights won't go off
No it doesn't show any warnings on the message center and the headlight thing is where it should be. Someone said it might be the button in the door that pushes in to shut off the lights may be broken but that button must now be in one of the door switches as I couldn't find one on the door. Thanks for the hints I guess I will just have to take it in to be fixed, thought I might be able to save a little money!
