"Best" $250 Subwoofer
Hey, my brother want's to get one 12" subwoofer. He has the mtx6500d amp, 775wrms @2ohm. He was lookin at the Alpine Type X for $250 shipped on ebay. He wants really nice sound quality, but something that will handle that much power. Any reccomendations? -Thanks

oz audio matriz elite, i got mine for 170$ i doubt you can find it that cheap, but definitly under 250$

He said SQ, it won't be had for under 350 or so at RE.

yea. i don't think anything of RE under the XXX will have as good of SQ as the Alpine Type X.
you can possibly look into an IDQ. they are cheaper, yet are regarded as a very good sounding driver.

the idq is a pure sq qoofer, and that OZ ME has been compared to the almighty IDMAX in terms of sq, and maybe a little less output, but its about 150$ cheaper. not to say that it lacks output, its also one of the most efficeint subs on the market. if you can find an OZ, definitly get it!

i would say the soundstream trantula 12's you can get 1 for 150 or 2 for 300 on ebay ive heard one and it sounded very good, i plan on getting two when i have the cash, run it with a hifonics brutis mono amp and you have a cheap system that sounds awesome.
