keyless not working:transmitter or receiver?
Suddenly my 143,000 mi PA lost the keyless entry ability. New batteries in transmitter, locks go down when pulling out of park and locks go up and down when jumping pins to program transmitter, but the transmitter won't program. Any way to test whether the problem is in transmitter or in the receiver? Sound to me like the transmitter went out.
Thanks. JStin |

Re: keyless not working:transmitter or receiver?
i'm having the same problem with my 95 regal, what year do you have?
in my case i'm leaning to the transmitter, the manual says test the module with another known good transmitter, witch i don't have, and i can't afford the cost of a new one when i still can use the key. |

Mine is a '92. I only have the one also. They aren't too costly (used) on ebay. I forgot to mention that my trunk button on the dash quit working at the same time as the keyfob...wierd.

Re: keyless not working:transmitter or receiver?
maybe not... check all your fuses(i don't know which pops the trunk, the owners manual may say)
does the trunk pop when the module is in programming mode(i am assuming its the grounding the terminal in the trunk style?) |

Check those fuses under the passenger side kick panel....located underneath. Might just be a blown fuser there.
