cracked wheel

i had a small leak in my tire so i put it in some water to find out where the leak is. found that leak and there is a crack on the inside lip of the wheel. i gave it to a wheel shop and they are going to weld it. my question is is it okay to drive on a repaired wheel? i have heard many different opinions on this. thanks.

Re: cracked wheel

as long as your wheels are made of a material that they can actually weld and then the wheels properly balance then its fine.
