X-mas shopping

Went shopping with my wife for holiday stuff today and bought myself an early present.
Doyusha 1/12 Lancia Stratos HF. Tam Tam finally had the Montecarlo Type I'd been looking for. My only concession to this new toy is that I've got to finish the 1/25 Hachi and the 1/20 Stratos first.
Whoo-hoo, let the fun begin.
BTW-anyone know of a detail kit or am I scratchbuilding again?

Re: X-mas shopping

Price in Japan is around 7-8k yen. $70-80 US. I've seen several 1/12 Lancia's around, but this is the first Monte Carlo version I've found. The others didn't have the 5-spoke wheels I love and came with a roofrack complete with spare. I can't remember off the top of my head the name of the version though.

Re: X-mas shopping

My Christmas came early, too. Two boxes, which were sent by surface, arrived at Houston, TX this week. The left are the stuff I bought in Japan back in May, which have been sitting at my parents for the last few months, and the right are more recent purchases.
Obviously, no more new kits in December. Oh, well...
