3.1L valve lifters

on the lifters for a 3.1L engine there is a hole on the side of the lifter which i believe is for oiling. Does it matter which way the hole is facing when I install them. They can only go 3 ways, all the holes facing the front or all the holes facing the rear of the engine, or does each set face each other. Thanks,Mike

It doesn't matter which way the holes on the lifters face. The lifter will function no matter which way they are set in the hole.
