dumb question but
I'm trying to replace the serpentine belt in my 03 tiburon but I can't get the tensioner to release. I've been told multiple times that it should be an easy job but I about broke my hand on the engine trying to get the thing to move with about every tool in the book. I really need some advice on what to do. Thanks.

Re: dumb question but
the belt? prolly because it's frayed or needs to be replaced... if it's too tight, make sure it's the right belt... sometimes auto places can be a pain in getting you the right part...
if you are having problem taking off the origional... make sure the car is jacked up enough and see if you can fondle your way enough in there to make sure nothing is obstructing it. |

Warranty ran out on the belt after a year.
Yeah I had to replace it because it was getting worn out and I couldn't really trust it to get me anywhere without being afraid of it breaking. Managed to get it fixed thought after some fidling. Thanks guys. |
