85 Mini Ram Van Engine Cross

I have a 85 Ram Mini Van and I have to replace the motor. I am not having any luck finding the original 2.2 motor. I am wandering if I can interchange it with any other motor without having to change the tranny. Looking for any help at all. Thanks

2.5 will bolt up, is yours fuel injected or carb?

It is carburated. Is the 2.5 a mopar engine? Someone also told me that a mitsubishi motor would work, Is that possible???????

there was a Mits 2.5 V6, but the 2.5 four was a Mopar engine, came out in late 80's, used in just about all their cars, check thedodgegarage.com, not sure if your intake will bolt up or not, can't beleive your having trouble finding a 2.2, there were millions made

Still no luck in finding a 2.2. Im gonna have to go a different size if possible.
