1999 Lesabre overhead light

Opening the driver's door does not cause the overhead light to come on. (It does come on by opening any other door. It does come on when unlocking by remote). Where is the switch for the driver's door to control the overhead light?

Re: 1999 Lesabre overhead light

It's built into the latching mechinism in the door. (The black greesy thing with three big bolts that holds the door shut.) Inside the door there are... 2 or 3 wires (I don't exactly remember) that plug into it and control things like the lights, chimes, etc.
