Fan problem

Oldsmobile Alero 1999
fan work's only since third position, 1 and 2 doesn't work.I think problem - speed regulated board -where is this located???
help please!

It is the resistor pack that is bad. It is located under the dash on the passenger side, more towards the center of the car.

You also might want to get the cause of the problem fixed too.
There's moisture getting to that resistor pack and you need to find a way to seal off the access.

very common problem among Aleros and Grand Ams. It is the resistor like JTrujillo said. When I got mine it was about 20 $ at Autozone. Don't remember how much exactly, but overpriced nonetheless.
