engine overheats
My 2001 durango overheats when it is idling, and stays cool when it is moving. Also the heat doesn't work in the rear of the vehicle only the air works in the back. The control that the coolant runs into by the firewall leaks. could this have anything to do with it?

First step is to fix that leak, top off with coolant, and see if your problem is solved.

Absolutely have your radiator/condensor fan motor relay checked out. If it's bad, your fan is dead or intermittent while you are stopped, but could spin and provide some cooling effect while you are moving. Mine has been replaced twice over 60K+ miles.
