2002 Aurora V6 Starting Problems...HELP!!!

Ok, my dad has a 2002 white Aurora V6 w/ all the options exept a moonroof. Anyway, he is having some trouble getting it to start. It sits and cranks a thousand times before it fires or it will fire up, but sound like it is going to putter out and die. The car has 30000 on it and we are the first time owners of the car. It is regularly serviced and the mechanics told him that it is the computer adjusting to the weather (sure). Does anyone have any suggestions or similar problems. Thanks for the advice!

You might have a faulty check valve in your fuel line. Before starting the car, turn the key inside the ignition from the "off" position to the "accessory" (the position right before cranking the engine) position 4-5 times in one second intervals. This will prime your fuel rail. Now try starting the car. If the car starts, that is the problem. Otherwise, relay, fuel pump or filter may be at fault.
