Question what engine to use????????????

Hey whats up guys i wanted to know which engine i should get because im swaping the stock engine on my 94 ex coupe. Right now it has the sohc vtec with a aem cold air intake. My goal with this car is to beat the gay ass mustang gt's so im thinking of swaping a b16a2 and building it or drop in the LS_vtec but theres also the b18c1(gsr)or the prelude engine h22. I want this setup to be all motor no torbo or anything like that but this car is gonna be a daily driven car but still want to race during the weekend. I want to know if the intake will fit the new motor if u guys have any ideas/suggestions that would help out alot thanks

First of all i'll say the GSR but I should ask whats your budget?

I myself like the c1 a whole lot its great motor for all motor build ups.

Well the best engine for power ould be the B18C ITR engine. they usually run between $4500-$5500. You get 210hp and 134tq, and with an H22 in a civic would make it heavy and steering wouldn't be so great unless you work on the suspension. But if money isn't an issue a type r engine or even a ls/vtec built right should be good enough to beat a mustang V6.

Re: need some help on this

a 4cyl metro can beat a v6 mustang, he asked about the GT. ok maybe not but a nice b18c1 should be able to beat em.

Re: need some help on this

I screwed up with the mustang stuff but You would need engines mouunts and all that, internals i'm not so sure what to change since type R engines come with the best internals from honda. For the swap this site give the complete type R swap with motor, trany, ecu, ect..
