Hi beam light on with low beams
Just bought a `99 1500 and the high beam light in the dash
comes on with the headlight switch regardless if the high or low beams are on. Also the fog lights don`t work when the headlights are on, only when the parking lights are on. Anyone had this problem? |

Have the wires been fooled with? If somebody has added in extra lights or any little doohickey, the wires could easily be crossed any which way. Had a similar problem when I messed up my own wiring.

Everything looks stock but I`ll look closer to see
if any wires look like they have been added. |

it sounds like you may have a selector switch malfunction. The fog lights turn off with highbeams on. So, if the switch is broke inside a contact may be being made for the dash light, and kick out the fog lamp relay.
