Talking Fiero engine swap (funny stuff)

I think you guys in this forum will get a laugh from this. I work at Wal-Mart and this guy that I knew from high school started working there in receiving, helping unload trucks and stuff. He's been a BSer as long as I had known him. Not to mention he thinks he knows everything (he used to work for IBM ). This is the kind of guy that drives a big AWD Astro van with about 20 cheap ass 30 dollar subs in the back, and he thought it sounded good! lol (I'm cracking up just thinking about it ) ANYWAY, the subject got onto cars and what everybody thought was cool and what would be cool to do to different cars. All guys back there ragged on him constantly anyway but he stuck his foot in his mouth one more time by saying "Oh yeah, I'm about to buy a Fiero, cool huh?" Everyone is like sure, whatever floats your boat. Then the kicker, he says "Yeah after I get it, I'm gonna save up about $5000 and dump a Viper V10 into it." Everyone stops dead and looks at him and just bursts out laughing. This older guy back there asked him if he can really get them for 5 grand a piece and he said he could so he told him "Well hell order me 5 of them." Everyone was in tears by this point and was pointing out what a dumbass he was, saying how there was no way in hell he was getting a brand new V10 Viper for 5 grand, how the engine couldn't fit into the car in the first place and even if he could get the engine in there by some miracle then it would be generating so much HP and torque that the car would flip over as soon as he punched the gas. Sorry for such a long post but I thought you guys would enjoy this little tidbit of what kind of idiots there are in the world.

Re: Fiero engine swap (funny stuff)

I know of a few guys with 400+ HP Fieros which don't flip over when you punch them. They do however, take the front wheels off the ground. 350CI SBC engines work real well as to some modigied 3800 SC engines.

A Viper engine is too long to fit in on the axial bias in a Fiero, but with some modifications it might be able to go longitudinally if you cut out the trunk. But then you'll need some sort of transmission to get the power to the wheels. All would cost more the $5K.

LMAO....$5K might pay for the BLOCK. Crate Dodge Magnum V12's cost well over $12,000. Total cost for that car he SAYS he's gonna build? I'd guess somewhere around $40k. Something tells me Wal-Mart don't pay that good. Unless he plan on being promoted to CEO some time soon...

74-79 Ramcharger or 100, slant or no motor - not interested in v8 - Overdrive 4 is a big plus, NO hopeless rust buckets!!!
3Rd gen F body floor pans/camaro door skin (L)

Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????
