Assholes don't deserve nice cars.

So, I was turning left onto March ln. tonight, and i see a very ince looking white Impreza sitting at the red light to go straight (the same direction that i was turning onto). I wasn't sure if it was an STI or just a WRX at the time, but anyhow it looked very nice. I was driving rather slow (40 in a 45) for a few minutes to see if he was going to catch up to me, but he never did. So I pretty much forgot about him. Then all the sudden about 5 minutes later, i see headlights coming up rather fast. Sure enough, it was an STI. As soon as he got up beside me, he let his BOV sound. This excited me, and i revved, letting him know that I was interested.

He pointed forward and floored it. I shifted down to second, and he was about half a car ahead. By 60 mph we were even, and by 95 I was 2 cars up and let off of the gas. I rolled down my window, and right as I was about to give him a thumbs up out the window, he flies bye me and turns on his flashers. I immediately start rolling because although i hadn't stepped on the break, i was clearly off of the gas, and had already slowed to less than 80 mph.

When I pulled up beside him at the next light, I asked him "Do you always turn on your flashers when you lose a race?" He starts laughing and revving like crazy. I decided to go again from the light, even though i knew that he would be much faster from a dig. The light turned green and we both launched. He got almost a car on me in first gear. Damn all wheel drive . In second, however, I began to walk on him. By the top of third, I was over a car ahead, and you guessed it - on go my flashers .

Well let's see, I don't know which Corvette he has, but the fastest one according to edmunds has 375 and 370 lb/ft of torque. From a roll, he would beat the Sti, from a stop, it should be close but what he said sounds about right.

But what are the odds of him having this car, maybe he does though.

I was just thinking base model Vettes. I done thing they could keep up with a STi.

My Vette runs a 13.6-13.8 on a good night, and yes it is the base model.

Nice kill, hey at least you showed him up right? I don't really put my flashers on, I think that it's usually pretty clear when I've won.
